Install Desktop Client on Windows

The first time you run Desktop Client, you must install it using these steps. After the initial installation, when a new version of Desktop Client is available, the system prompts you to upgrade to the new version. To perform the automatic upgrade when prompted, click Upgrade Now.

For this initial installation, you launch Desktop Client after extracting the files in the downloaded ZIP file to a folder. Understand that these instructions explain how to install Desktop Client for Windows. For instructions on installing Desktop Client on a Mac, refer to Download and Install Desktop Client on MacOS.

Perform the following procedure to download and install Desktop Client.

1. Download Desktop Client using the following steps.
   1. In the Project page, click and choose DESKTOP CLIENT.
   2. In the Download & Install Desktop Client page, select Download for Windows.
2.  Extract Desktop Client files using the following steps.
   1. When the epiqdiscoveryclient.zip file appears in the bottom left side of the browser, click the file to open the zip file.
   2. In the menubar, select Extract>Extract all.
   3. In the Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders dialog box, specify the folder in which you want to store the Discovery Client and then click Extract.

3. Launch Desktop Client.

   1. To launch the program, navigate to EpiqDiscoveryClient.exe and double-click the file.
   2. When requested, enter your ID/Email Address and Password.
   3. Click SIGN IN.

4. In Desktop Client, navigate to a project using one of the following methods.

   • Scroll through the list to your project.

   • In the search bar, enter the first few characters of the project name.

5. To open a project, click the project name.

6. For information about features in Desktop Client, click Help in the titlebar.
